Falcons Pull off come back to win series in Game 3
news • 2017-04-19 After the first two games needed extra time the third came close to being a repeat with the Falcons holding of the Monarchs to take the series in 3 games. Ethan Stuckless banged home the first goal at the 11:18 mark of the second period to put the Falcons up by one with Ryan Morrissey getting the helper. Then with 1:52 remaining in the second there was a face off in the Monarchs zone, the Falcons used this to set up a goal that only require 3 seconds from the puck drop to Noah Lambert finding the back of the net and again Ryan Morrissey had the helper. It stayed this way until 0:22 seconds remaining in the game and with the Monarchs net empty Christian Walsh found the back of the net with a helper from AJ Doyle, however this was not enough as Nick O'Brien shout the door to seal the game and end the Monarchs playoff hopes. This end a great Metro season for the Monarchs after being out of the league for a couple of years they finished 4th in a league of 6 teams and we look forward to seeing them return again next season.
