Another great back and fourth game between the Monarchs and Falcons Friday night at the C.B.S. Arena. Brendan Houlihan opened the scoring with 3:32 remaining in the 1st, but Levi Moulton evened the score a little over a minute later. Before the period was over Adrian Doyle put the Monarchs back on top with a power play goal. The Falcons battled back in the second with two unanswered goals the first from Jacob Abbott and second from Matt Davis. The Monarch answered less than a minute in to the third when Kieran O'Driscoll scored and at 12:47 Adrian Doyle potted his second of the night to take the lead. The Falcons battled back again when Noah Lambert jumped on a open puck to net a short handed goal to once again even it up. It remained this way for the rest of the period forcing over time for the second game in a row. With 45.7 seconds remaining in OT Falcons Captain Ryan Tobin fired home the winning goal to force a final game 3.
Falcons Noah Lambert had a 4 point game with 1 goal and 3 apples, Nick O'Brian got the win for the Falcons with another great game between the pipes. Game 3 will go Monday night 8PM at the Glacier in Mount Pearl.
